Jammu & Kashmir — Digital Marketing

Digital Marketing
Agency in Srinagar

Srinagar has two economies that a single campaign cannot serve, and the visible one is the volatile one. Kashmir Valley tourist arrivals went from 6.65 lakh in 2021 to 34.99 lakh in 2024 and back to 11.16 lakh in 2025 — a fall of roughly 68% in one year following an incident in April, with only 22,993 foreign visitors in the 2025 figure. Meanwhile the reliable Srinagar economy — a district of over 12 lakh people needing doctors, schools, building materials, furniture and weddings — is the one local search actually serves, and the one almost nobody pitches, because it is less romantic.

(01) — The Srinagar market

Two economies, both pointed outward

Tourists are acquired in Indian metros before they travel, months ahead, on national travel platforms and search. Shawls and carpets are sold to buyers in Delhi, the Gulf and the West — the territory's handicraft and handloom exports were ₹733.59 crore in 2024-25, from a sector supporting about 4.45 lakh artisans and craftsmen. Neither responds to local search, and a craft business running a Srinagar radius campaign is spending against the wrong map.

For the craft trade specifically, the useful assets are certification and provenance. Over 51,000 shawls and nearly 20,000 carpets carried geographical indication labelling in the most recent survey year, and that mark is the most usable trust signal available in creative aimed at a buyer in Delhi or London who cannot inspect the goods.

It is worth separating where craft is made from where it is sold. The production heartland is the downtown — the shawl weaving, sozni, copperware and papier-mâché workshops — while the tourist-facing retail sits on the boulevard and the pedestrianised boutique streets. A business in one is not a business in the other, and campaigns that blur them serve neither.

Volatility is a planning input, not a rumour

The arrival numbers above are the government's own statistics, and a market that went from 6.7 lakh to 35 lakh to 11 lakh inside five years cannot be planned as though it were stable. The practical advice that matters more than any targeting decision is this: never build a Srinagar client's plan on a twelve-month flat spend, and always include a defined pause mechanism. A client locked into a contract they cannot pause will be burned, and it will be the agency's fault.

Two things have genuinely improved and a fair page should say so. Connectivity has changed materially — the rail link commissioned in 2025 puts Srinagar on the national network for the first time. And recorded internet disruptions have fallen sharply: from 116 in 2021 and 79 in 2022 to 14 in 2023, 2 in 2024 and 11 in 2025, against a cumulative total of 447 since 2012 and a single longest disruption of 552 days between August 2019 and February 2021.

Presenting the cumulative total without the year-by-year decline would misrepresent current conditions, and we would rather be accurate than dramatic. The honest summary is that the operating environment is materially better than it was five years ago and still requires a plan with a hand on the brake.

The city that local search actually serves

A district of 12,36,829 people at the last census generates entirely conventional demand — hospitals, diagnostics, schools, coaching, construction materials, interiors, furniture, durables, weddings. Healthcare and education are the steadiest money in the city and are largely insulated from tourism volatility, and the valley's rural catchment comes into Srinagar for tertiary care and higher education.

Alongside them sits the horticulture trade, which is genuinely large — territory-wide output rose to 26.92 lakh tonnes in 2024-25, with fruit exports of 8.70 lakh tonnes worth ₹3,809.97 crore to November 2025-26 — and clears through the fruit mandi and its trucking yards. It is relationship-driven B2B conducted on the phone, so digital works for what is sold to the trade rather than for the fruit: cold storage, packaging, crates, nets, sprays, agri-inputs and finance.

On language, English is the primary keyword language and Kashmiri is the primary creative one. Kashmiri has enormous spoken currency and effectively none in typed search — it is written in a script most speakers were not schooled to write and is not a practical mobile input method. Urdu has real readership and near-zero commercial query volume for the same reasons as in Jammu. Build keyword sets in English with a small romanised-Hindi allocation, and put Kashmiri in the video and audio where it carries genuine authority.

(02) — Industries

What Srinagar actually sells

A volatile visitor economy, a craft export trade selling abroad, and a large resident city underneath both.

Tourism & hospitality

Hotels, houseboats, taxis and tour operators, booked from outside the valley months ahead. Capable of going to near-zero on a single day's news.

Handicrafts & handloom

Shawls, carpets, papier-mâché and wood carving. Export B2B and direct-to-consumer aimed at metros and overseas, not local search.

Horticulture trade & logistics

Apple aggregation, grading, cold storage and trucking. Digital works for what is sold to the trade, not for the fruit.

Healthcare & education

Major hospitals, a university and a technology institute, plus private coaching and diagnostics. The most reliable local-search category.

Government & administration

The summer seat of government, with a stable salaried audience whose physical presence is again seasonal.

Retail, construction & real estate

A large resident city with genuine consumer depth. The honest core of the local market, and the part most agencies overlook.

(03) — Where we work

Srinagar, district by district

A central business district, a lakefront tourist strip, a downtown production heartland, and industrial estates ringing the city.

Lal Chowk

The central business district — banks, apparel showrooms, electronics and travel agencies. The address that signals an established business.

Residency Road

Upmarket retail and the government emporia, with airline and tour-operator offices.

Polo View

A pedestrianised boutique and craft street — shawls, carpets and cafés, explicitly tourist-facing.

Maharaj Gunj

The historic downtown wholesale bazaar: textiles, general merchandise and old trading houses.

Zaina Kadal & Nowhatta

The craft production heartland — copperware, shawl weaving, sozni and papier-mâché workshops.

Dalgate & Boulevard Road

The lakefront tourist strip: hotels, houseboats, shikara ghats and tour desks. The most seasonally violent revenue line in the city.

Rajbagh & Jawahar Nagar

Affluent residential with clinics, restaurants, boutiques, tuition and wedding services.

Karan Nagar

The hospital and diagnostics cluster, with the pharmacy and pathology trade attached.

Parimpora

The fruit and vegetable wholesale mandi and transport yard — the clearing house for the valley's horticulture trade.

Rangreth, Zainakote & Khunmoh

The industrial estates ringing the city: food processing, plastics, joinery and light engineering.

(04) — Budgets

What it costs to compete in Srinagar

Tourism spends most in a good year; healthcare and education are the money you can actually plan against.

Hospitals, education groups & larger retail

₹50,000–₹2,00,000 a month — the steadiest spend in the city.

Craft exporters & direct-to-consumer brands

₹40,000–₹3,00,000 a month, spent almost entirely on geographies outside the territory.

Hotels & houseboats

₹15,000–₹60,000 a month, heavily seasonal and capable of being switched off entirely after a security event.

Small local services

₹8,000–₹20,000 a month across salons, tuition, repair and small clinics.

Indicative ranges based on what we see in this market, not a quote. Ad spend is separate from management fees and is paid directly to Google or Meta from your own account.

(08) — FAQ

Digital marketing in Srinagar

By building the pause into the plan rather than hoping it will not be needed. Kashmir Valley arrivals went from 6.65 lakh in 2021 to 34.99 lakh in 2024 and back to 11.16 lakh in 2025 — those are government figures, not estimates. Never put a Srinagar client on a twelve-month flat spend with no pause mechanism; a client locked into a contract they cannot suspend will be burned, and that is the agency's failure rather than the market's.

Materially, and it is only fair to say so. Recorded internet disruptions fell from 116 in 2021 and 79 in 2022 to 14 in 2023, 2 in 2024 and 11 in 2025. The rail link commissioned in 2025 puts Srinagar on the national network for the first time. Quoting the cumulative total of 447 shutdowns since 2012 without that year-by-year decline would misrepresent current conditions. It is a better environment than five years ago and still one that needs a plan with a brake.

Almost not at all. The territory exported ₹733.59 crore of handicraft and handloom in 2024-25, and those buyers are in Delhi, Mumbai, the Gulf and the West. Geo-targeting Srinagar for a craft business is close to wasted spend. What works is direct-to-consumer and export B2B aimed at metros and overseas, in English, with geographical indication certification as the central trust asset — it is the most usable proof you have for a buyer who cannot inspect the goods.

Healthcare and education, comfortably. A district of over 12 lakh people plus the valley's rural catchment generates conventional, year-round demand for hospitals, diagnostics, schools and coaching, and it is largely insulated from tourism volatility. It is also the part of the Srinagar market that almost nobody pitches, because tourism is the more interesting story.

Kashmiri in video and audio, yes — it carries genuine authority and it is what people speak. In keywords, no: it is written in a script most speakers were not schooled to write and is not a practical mobile input method, so there is no query corpus to target. Urdu has real readership and near-zero commercial search volume for the same reasons. Build keyword sets in English with a small romanised-Hindi allocation.

Small local services run ₹8,000–₹20,000 a month. Hotels and houseboats ₹15,000–₹60,000, heavily seasonal around March to June and September to October. Craft exporters and direct-to-consumer brands ₹40,000–₹3,00,000, spent almost entirely outside the territory. Hospitals, education groups and larger retail ₹50,000–₹2,00,000, and that is the steadiest money in the city.

In their words

People who pay us,
on the record

The best lead generation company in Delhi I have ever worked with. Their campaigns brought a consistent flow of high-quality leads for our herbal products.
Shivam Pal Founder — Shubh Amrit Veda
Getting quality leads online was something I struggled with for a long time. Then I came across Mind Your Ads, and things really started to improve. Their team redesigned my website, worked on the SEO, and set up PPC campaigns that actually brought in genuine enquiries and customers. What I liked most was that I could actually see the difference in the results, rather than just hearing promises. If you're looking for a digital marketing agency that understands your business and focuses on real growth, I’d definitely recommend Mind Your Ads.
Humaira Shaikh Founder — Skyline Research
I was looking for a digital marketing agency that could actually deliver results, not just show me numbers and reports. After trying a couple of agencies, I decided to work with Mind Your Ads, and the experience has been really good. Before starting anything, their team took the time to understand my business, competitors, and existing online presence. I really liked that they didn’t jump straight into running ads without a proper plan. Within a short period, we started seeing better traffic and, more importantly, more relevant and qualified leads. A professional and reliable team that genuinely focuses on growing your business.
Shobha Director — Book Vietnam Holiday
I’ve worked with a few agencies before, but my experience with Mind Your Ads has been much better. They actually took the time to understand my business and what I wanted to achieve instead of suggesting the same strategy for everyone. Their team helped us improve the website, worked on SEO, and managed our paid campaigns. What I appreciate most is how responsive and straightforward they are. They’re honest about what’s working, what needs improvement, and are always available when we need support. Overall, a reliable team and a great choice if you’re looking for a digital marketing company for the long term.
Cesar Duenas Sales Manager — Vrismeta Communication
Managing our web development and Google Ads for over a year. Campaigns are always optimised, reporting is transparent, and lead quality improves month over month.
Bhupender Singh Sales Manager — Stock Wyse
We hired Mind Your Ads mainly to handle our social media marketing, and the experience has been really positive. Their team took the time to understand our business and what kind of customers we wanted to reach. Within a few weeks, we noticed better engagement and, more importantly, an increase in genuine enquiries. Communication has also been smooth, and their strategies feel practical rather than just focused on likes and followers. If you’re looking for a dependable social media marketing agency that focuses on real business results, Mind Your Ads is definitely worth considering.
