Digital Marketing
Agency in Aurangabad
Marathwada's industrial capital has two marketing problems most agencies never notice. The city was officially renamed Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar in 2023, but commerce and search still run largely on Aurangabad — so anything that picks one name loses half the traffic. And there is a second Aurangabad in Bihar bidding for the same query. Getting both right is most of the work here.
Two names, two states, one keyword
The Government of Maharashtra completed the renaming to Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar by notification in 2023, and district administration, MIDC and central government releases now use it. But the airport code is still IXU, AURIC retains Aurangabad in its full name, and thousands of registered firms embed the old name. Commercially and in search, Aurangabad still dominates.
So a serious account here carries both names across keywords, content and structured data, and leads with whichever the audience actually uses — which differs by segment. Government and institutional buyers have switched. Trade, tourism and consumer search largely have not.
Then there is Aurangabad in Bihar, a district town competing for exactly the same query string. Without deliberate geographic exclusions a Maharashtra account will pay for clicks from Bihar every month and never notice, because the search term report looks entirely reasonable. This is the single most common leak we find in accounts from this city.
A two-wheeler town, and the supplier base that comes with it
The district's auto-components cluster runs to 1,285 functional units with a combined turnover of ₹30,000 crore, anchored by Bajaj Auto's presence at Waluj. That shapes local employment, supplier credit cycles and aftermarket demand — this is a two-wheeler economy, not a car economy, and the distinction matters when you are writing for it.
Waluj itself is effectively full: 3,249 of its 3,255 plots are allotted across 1,522 hectares, leaving six vacant. Chikalthana adds 720 hectares next to the airport. For a supplier business the audience here is procurement engineers and purchase managers, a small and specific population reached through precise search terms rather than volume.
Pharmaceuticals is the other pillar, with substantial formulation capacity at Chikalthana and Waluj, and brewing is a third — Waluj holds a large share of India's beer capacity, which leaves parts of the local economy unusually exposed to state excise policy.
AURIC is a pipeline; Waluj is the market
AURIC, the Shendra–Bidkin node of the Delhi–Mumbai Industrial Corridor, has attracted investment potential of ₹71,343 crore and employment potential of 62,405 jobs across a planned 10,000 acres, with major commitments from Toyota Kirloskar and others. Those are real numbers and they are worth knowing.
They are also not today's market. Of 323 plots allotted, 78 units are operational, with 62 factories under construction and 184 still pre-construction. The employment, procurement and local spending that exists right now sits in Waluj and Chikalthana. A business marketing to AURIC-driven demand is marketing to a pipeline.
For tourism the picture is different again. Ajanta is about 100 km away and Ellora about 30, so most visitors sleep in the city and spend outside it. That day-trip pattern distorts local hospitality economics, and hotels here compete on being the base rather than the destination — which changes what the advertising has to say.
What Aurangabad actually sells
An auto-component and pharma manufacturing base, a UNESCO-scale tourism draw, and a regional consumer market for the whole of Marathwada.
Two-wheeler & auto components
1,285 supplier units with ₹30,000 crore of combined turnover, anchored by Bajaj Auto at Waluj — the city's largest economic pillar.
Pharmaceuticals & biotech
Formulation and API capacity across Chikalthana and Waluj, and a named priority sector for the AURIC development.
Brewing & beverages
Waluj holds a large share of national beer capacity, leaving part of the local economy directly exposed to state excise policy.
Seeds & agri-processing
The Sambhajinagar–Jalna belt is a national hybrid-seed centre, with the trade concentrated around Jalna to the east.
Heritage & religious tourism
Ajanta and Ellora, Bibi Ka Maqbara, Daulatabad and the Grishneshwar Jyotirlinga — the city is the base for all of them.
Textiles & handloom
Paithani silk weaving along the Paithan and Yeola axis, plus apparel manufacturing within the AURIC focus sectors.
Aurangabad, district by district
A planned industrial ring around a dense old city, with the commercial spine running along Jalna Road.
Waluj MIDC
1,522 hectares and effectively full, with only six vacant plots; Bajaj Auto anchors a dense component supplier base.
Shendra MIDC (AURIC)
903 hectares; the older Delhi–Mumbai Industrial Corridor node and the operational half of AURIC.
Bidkin (AURIC)
The newer and larger AURIC node, where the Toyota Kirloskar and EV commitments are landing.
Chikalthana MIDC
720 hectares beside the airport — engineering, pharma and older manufacturing.
Jalna Road
The city's primary commercial spine: hotels, car showrooms, corporate offices and hospitals.
CIDCO N-sectors
Planned residential sectors with neighbourhood retail; the organised consumer catchment.
Gulmandi
The old-city wholesale bazaar — grain, dry fruit and general goods, traded on relationships and credit.
Nirala Bazaar & Kranti Chowk
The mainstream retail high street and the eating-out belt.
Paithan Road & Paithan
The Paithani silk-weaving cluster and the Jayakwadi agricultural belt.
Jalna
Sixty kilometres east; steel re-rolling and India's largest hybrid-seed cluster, commercially part of the same catchment.
What it costs to compete in Aurangabad
Costs here are well below Pune or Mumbai, and the largest single saving available is usually excluding the wrong Aurangabad.
Auto-component & industrial B2B
₹40,000–₹1,00,000 a month, almost entirely on search. A handful of qualified enquiries makes the year, so precision beats volume by a wide margin.
Local services, clinics & coaching
₹25,000–₹60,000 a month. Costs are modest and the CIDCO sectors give a concentrated, reachable catchment.
Hotels & heritage tourism
₹40,000–₹1,20,000 a month, seasonal and targeted well outside Maharashtra. Your guest is deciding from Mumbai, Bengaluru or overseas.
Education & healthcare
₹40,000–₹1,00,000 a month. The city is the referral and admissions centre for the whole of Marathwada, so the catchment is far larger than the city.
Indicative ranges based on what we see in this market, not a quote. Ad spend is separate from management fees and is paid directly to Google or Meta from your own account.
The local picture
Investment potential attracted by AURIC, the Shendra–Bidkin node of the Delhi–Mumbai Industrial Corridor, with employment potential of 62,405 jobs. Of 323 plots allotted, 78 units were operational and 62 factories under construction.
Combined turnover of the district's auto-components cluster across 1,285 functional units — the single largest pillar of the local economy.
Plots allotted at Waluj MIDC across 1,522 hectares, leaving six vacant — the district's flagship industrial estate is effectively saturated.
Services
Google Ads Management in Aurangabad
Search here has to carry both names — Aurangabad and Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar — and exclude Aurangabad in Bihar, which competes for the same query and quietly drains budget.
Meta & Facebook Ads in Aurangabad
Consumer categories along Jalna Road and the CIDCO sectors respond well. Auto-component and pharma B2B does not, and Meta earns its place there as a recruitment channel instead.
Pay Per Click (PPC) in Aurangabad
The auto-component supplier base buys on search and on relationships; hospitality, education and clinics buy on paid social. The split is unusually clean in this city.
Search Engine Optimization in Aurangabad
Two city names, two spellings and a competing Aurangabad in Bihar make this one of the trickiest local search setups in India — and one of the most winnable once handled properly.
Website Design & Development in Aurangabad
An auto-component supplier is read by procurement teams checking capacity and certifications. A heritage hotel is chosen from photographs. Same city, opposite builds.
App Development in Aurangabad
Auto-component manufacturers here want plant, quality and dealer systems. Tourism demand is better served by a fast booking flow than by an app.
Social Media Marketing in Aurangabad
Factory and process video performs well for the supplier base, and Ajanta and Ellora give the tourism half of the city content that travels nationally without effort.
Influencer Marketing in Aurangabad
Travel creators will visit Ajanta and Ellora for hosted trips, which makes the economics far better here than paying for reach in a metro.
Certified Google Partner
A verified Google Partner team managing ads, SEO and web to Google's published performance benchmarks.
Aurangabad market knowledge
This is Marathwada's capital, not a Mumbai or Pune satellite — it sits around 330 km from both, and its industrial base is far wealthier than the drought-prone region around it.

Digital marketing in Aurangabad
Both, and the balance depends on who you sell to. The renaming was completed by state notification in 2023 and government, district administration and MIDC have switched. But the airport code is still IXU, AURIC keeps the old name, and consumer and trade search still runs heavily on Aurangabad. We carry both across keywords, page content and structured data, and lead with whichever your audience actually types.
There is a second Aurangabad — a district in Bihar — competing for the same search term. Without deliberate geographic exclusions, a Maharashtra campaign pays for clicks from Bihar every month, and the search terms report looks completely normal because the query is identical. It is the most common and most invisible leak we find in accounts from this city, and it is straightforward to fix once somebody looks for it.
Not yet, for most businesses. The announced numbers are genuine — ₹71,343 crore of investment potential and 62,405 jobs — but only 78 units are operational, with 62 under construction and 184 still pre-construction. Today's employment, procurement and spending sit in Waluj and Chikalthana. If you sell to manufacturers, that is where the market is. AURIC is worth positioning for, not budgeting against.
Not as a lead channel, and we would rather say so. Procurement engineers do not source suppliers from a feed. Meta does earn budget here for recruitment, which is a real and often urgent problem for units in Waluj and Shendra, and for employer brand. Lead generation for this segment belongs on search, with a site that carries capacity, certifications and downloadable specifications.
Substantially. The Ajanta and Ellora season runs roughly October to March, with a monsoon lift for the caves themselves. More importantly, most visitors sleep in the city and spend at sites 30 to 100 km away, so hotels here compete on being the best base rather than the destination. Budget should move with the season rather than sit flat across the year.
Industrial B2B runs ₹40,000–₹1,00,000 a month of ad spend, local services ₹25,000–₹60,000, hotels and tourism ₹40,000–₹1,20,000 with a heavy seasonal skew. Costs are well below Pune and Mumbai. Management fees are published on each service page and quoted on top; ad spend goes to the platform from your own account.
We run the same work in the markets around Aurangabad — digital marketing in Pune, digital marketing in Nashik, digital marketing in Mumbai and digital marketing in Nagpur.
