Digital Marketing
Agency in Agra
Agra is an industrial city that happens to have the Taj Mahal, and almost every marketing plan written for it gets that the wrong way round. The footwear cluster alone employs around two lakh people — far more than tourism does. Treating Agra as a tourism market misses its largest commercial audience by an order of magnitude, and misses the part with real export money in it.
India's largest footwear cluster, and it is two markets
The official district profile records 5,000 functional footwear units including 150 exporters, employing about two lakh people and exporting ₹2,150 crore worth of goods. Invest India describes Agra as the country's largest footwear cluster. This, not the monument, is the city's economic centre of gravity.
It splits cleanly in two. A small export tier of roughly 150 firms sells to European and Gulf brands, buys B2B services, cares about compliance and audits, and is genuinely reachable through international search and LinkedIn. A much larger domestic tier makes low-cost footwear for Indian wholesale, runs on credit and trade fairs, and is not a search market in any meaningful sense.
Selling the same campaign to both is the standard failure here. We would rather tell a domestic wholesale manufacturer that its budget belongs in trade channels than take a retainer for paid search that its buyers will never use.
Marble, zari and the crafts that tourism actually supports
The district profile records a marble and stone-craft cluster of about 2,500 units employing 30,000 people and exporting around ₹100 crore, plus a zari-zardozi cluster of some 680 units employing another 30,000. Both are direct descendants of Mughal-era craft and both now sell to two audiences at once — visitors in the city and buyers abroad.
That makes marble inlay and embroidery unusually good categories for paid social. The product is visual, the provenance is genuine, and short-form video carries the craft in a way a catalogue never will. A marble workshop in Agra selling internationally is one of the better D2C propositions in north India and one of the least exploited.
The zari trade is more constrained. It is heavily home-based and informal, and the value sits with the trading houses in Kinari Bazaar rather than the workshops. For those traders the useful channel is export search and trade platforms, not consumer advertising.
The tourism economy is smaller and stranger than it looks
Taj Mahal entry costs ₹50 for Indian visitors and ₹1,100 for foreign and NRI visitors, with ₹200 more to enter the mausoleum itself. That twenty-two-fold price gap tells you these are two entirely different products with two entirely different economics, and a hotel or tour operator that markets to both identically is under-serving one of them.
The monument also closes on Fridays, which reshapes the week for everyone downstream of it. And the Yamuna Expressway has made Agra a comfortable day trip from Delhi, which suppresses overnight stays — a structural problem for local hospitality that no amount of advertising fixes, but which does change what the advertising should argue for.
Uttar Pradesh is India's largest domestic tourism destination by arrivals, and Agra is its principal heritage draw. The opportunity is real. It is just overwhelmingly domestic, heavily price-sensitive, and best pursued by selling the overnight stay rather than the visit.
What Agra actually sells
A very large footwear cluster, two heritage craft industries and a tourism economy — in that order of size, which is the reverse of how Agra is usually described.
Footwear manufacturing & export
India's largest footwear cluster — around 5,000 units and two lakh jobs, split between a small export tier and a much larger domestic wholesale trade.
Leather goods & allied trades
Supply chains feeding the shoe cluster, supported by a dedicated Leather Park and export promotion estate.
Marble & stone inlay handicrafts
Roughly 2,500 units employing 30,000 people; a Mughal-era craft now driven by tourist and export demand.
Ferrous foundry & light engineering
Foundry Nagar and Nunhai produce castings and pump and diesel-engine components, within the constraints of the Taj Trapezium Zone.
Heritage tourism & hospitality
Three UNESCO sites in the district; overwhelmingly domestic, heavily day-trip weighted, and closed on Fridays.
Zari-zardozi & carpets
Around 680 zari units employing 30,000 people, largely home-based, with the value concentrated in the trading houses.
Agra, district by district
A craft and trade old city, a modern commercial district, and a ring of industrial estates constrained by the Taj Trapezium Zone.
Hing Ki Mandi
The historic core of shoe manufacturing and wholesale — hundreds of small workshops and trading houses.
Sanjay Place
Agra's main commercial and office district: accountants, banks, traders and coaching institutes.
Sadar Bazaar
The principal mainstream retail street for apparel and footwear at retail prices.
Kinari Bazaar & Chowk
Wholesale zari-zardozi, embroidery trims, handicrafts and marble inlay supplies in the old city.
Foundry Nagar
Ferrous castings, diesel engine parts and machine components in a dedicated industrial estate.
Nunhai Industrial Estate
General engineering and light manufacturing, operating under Taj Trapezium Zone fuel restrictions.
Sikandra Site A & Site C
Two industrial estates on the Delhi highway side, mixing footwear and engineering units.
EPIP & Leather Park
Export-oriented footwear and leather-goods units in purpose-built estates.
Fatehabad Road & Taj Ganj
Hotels, tour operators, marble emporia and handicraft showrooms — the tourist-spend belt.
Belanganj
Petha manufacture and grain and foodstuff wholesale, serving the district and beyond.
What it costs to compete in Agra
Export campaigns are priced in international auctions; local and tourism campaigns are among the cheapest of any city we work in.
Footwear & leather export
₹60,000–₹2,00,000 a month, bid in Europe, the Gulf and North America. The cost per click has no relation to Indian rates and neither does the value of an enquiry.
Marble & handicraft D2C
₹30,000–₹80,000 a month on paid social, targeted nationally and internationally. Visual product, genuine provenance, strong video performance.
Hotels & travel
₹40,000–₹1,20,000 a month, targeted at Delhi NCR and the metros rather than locally, and weighted heavily towards selling the overnight stay.
Local services & retail
₹20,000–₹50,000 a month. One of the lowest-cost local auctions on this site, with genuine volume behind it.
Indicative ranges based on what we see in this market, not a quote. Ad spend is separate from management fees and is paid directly to Google or Meta from your own account.

Services
Google Ads Management in Agra
Footwear export buyers search from Europe and the Gulf while local trade searches in Hinglish. Running both from one account without separation is how budgets disappear here.
Meta & Facebook Ads in Agra
Marble handicraft and leather goods are visual, giftable and travel well — a natural Meta fit. Bulk footwear wholesale does not belong here at all.
Pay Per Click (PPC) in Agra
Export enquiries come from international search; hotels and local services come from a mix. Agra supports both but they are separate accounts with separate logic.
Search Engine Optimization in Agra
"Shoe manufacturer in Agra" and "footwear exporter India" are supplier-intent queries with genuine buying power and surprisingly little serious competition.
Website Design & Development in Agra
A footwear exporter is judged by a European buyer who may never visit — capacity, compliance and range depth decide the enquiry long before styling does.
App Development in Agra
Footwear manufacturers here want dealer ordering and production tracking. Consumer demand is better served by a fast store than an app.
Social Media Marketing in Agra
Factory and craft process video is the strongest content an Agra exporter can publish, because it is the proof a distant buyer cannot otherwise get.
Influencer Marketing in Agra
Travel creators come to Agra anyway, which makes hosted collaborations unusually cheap. For the footwear trade, creators are largely irrelevant.
Certified Google Partner
A verified Google Partner team managing ads, SEO and web to Google's published performance benchmarks.
Agra market knowledge
The Taj Trapezium Zone restricts polluting industry across the district, which is why Agra's manufacturing skews to footwear, marble and light engineering rather than anything heavy.

Digital marketing in Agra
Industrial, by a wide margin, and this is the thing most plans get backwards. The footwear cluster alone employs around two lakh people across roughly 5,000 units and exports ₹2,150 crore. Tourism is significant but much smaller, overwhelmingly domestic and heavily day-trip weighted. If you are selling B2B services in Agra, the footwear and leather trade is the audience worth building for.
It is a Supreme Court-mandated zone of roughly 10,400 sq km around the monument in which polluting and coal-fired industry is restricted. It is the reason Agra's manufacturing skews to footwear, marble and light engineering rather than anything heavy, and why local foundries operate under unusual fuel rules. If your pitch involves setting up manufacturing in Agra, it has to account for this.
Yes, and that is where the money is in this category. The export tier is around 150 firms selling to European and Gulf brands, and those buyers search in English, from abroad, using supplier-intent terms. That means international search targeting, a site built as a technical and capacity document, and LinkedIn rather than consumer social. It is a different account from anything domestic.
Because everything downstream of the monument reshapes around it. Hotel occupancy, tour scheduling, guide availability, emporium footfall and restaurant demand all shift, and a campaign running a flat weekly budget spends the same on the one day the primary attraction is shut. It is a small detail that shows up clearly in the numbers once you look for it.
It is one of the better underexploited opportunities in north India. The product is visual, the provenance is real and verifiable, and short-form video carries the craft in a way a catalogue cannot. A workshop selling inlay work internationally has a genuine D2C proposition with very little sophisticated competition. The main constraint is usually photography and fulfilment rather than demand.
Export campaigns are bid in international auctions and run ₹60,000–₹2,00,000 a month; handicraft D2C ₹30,000–₹80,000; hotels and travel ₹40,000–₹1,20,000 aimed at NCR and the metros; local services ₹20,000–₹50,000, which is among the cheapest local auctions we work in. Management fees are published on each service page.

We hired Mind Your Ads mainly to handle our social media marketing, and the experience has been really positive.
